Josh and Jessi Gowan are the owners of Southern Home Outlet in Dalton, GA. They have a one-year-old daughter, and have a sweet baby boy on the way! They purchased the rug store, that’s been in business for over 40 years, in May 2023 and since then have added flooring and a merchant market with 50+ vendors in October 2023.
Josh is very entrepreneurial. He owned and operated a garbage company for five years in Whitfield county. After he sold it, he dove into residential and commercial real estate investing where he, his business partner, and other investors purchase properties and lease them out. He is very business minded and loves the challenges and thrills that come along with owning and growing a business.
Jessi is the person behind everything you see on social media. She was an elementary teacher for 7 years up until they had their daughter and purchased the store. She was also an event planner for years on the side, so organizing store events is always a blast for her!
Josh and Jessi feel blessed to have the opportunity to work on their business together with their growing family. They have met countless wonderful people and are so thankful for all of their vendors, customers, and new friends they’ve made along the way!
